Express Delivery Operative Driver Level 2

> Funding: £4,000

> Duration: 12 Months

Course Overview

The Express Delivery Operative Level 2 apprenticeship is designed for individuals working in courier, parcel delivery, logistics, and transport environments who want to develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to deliver goods safely, efficiently, and professionally. Whether collecting parcels, completing home or business deliveries, or managing scheduled routes, apprentices gain the practical expertise required to perform confidently in a fast-paced delivery operation.

Throughout the programme, apprentices build a strong understanding of route planning, customer service, digital delivery technology, manual handling, vehicle safety, transport legislation, and environmental responsibility. Learning is directly linked to everyday workplace activities, enabling apprentices to immediately apply new knowledge and improve productivity, delivery accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

Delivered over 13 months through a flexible remote model, the programme combines monthly one-to-one coaching sessions with collaborative online peer group workshops. Apprentices receive personalised support, share experiences with delivery professionals from other organisations, build a comprehensive workplace portfolio, and prepare confidently for End-Point Assessment through structured reviews and practical guidance. This delivery model is designed to fit around operational work schedules while providing consistent support throughout the apprenticeship.
Aligned to the nationally recognised Express Delivery Operative Level 2 apprenticeship standard, the programme prepares apprentices for successful End-Point Assessment while helping employers develop skilled, customer-focused delivery professionals.

On completion, apprentices have the confidence, capability, and practical experience to take on greater responsibility, contribute to operational performance, and progress into more senior delivery, logistics, and transport roles.
